My happy place
I spent a wonderful weekend at Kosher Cove last year. I call it "my happy place". It is so well set up for relaxing in the mountains and having a good time with family or friends. The decor of the cottage is beautiful, inviting and comfortable. You can be as busy or as laid back as you want, whether you are enjoying the lake or pool, barbecuing, listening to music through the great sound system or just loafing in the living room or on the screened porch. No detail was overlooked in making this cabin comfortable and welcoming, especially for the kosher vacationer. I look forward to going back again.
We stayed at the kosher cove with our friends over the Mother's Day weekend. Everyone had an amazing time. We loved the breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains. The house was beautifully furnished and decorated with spacious bedrooms, large and efficient kitchen, a perfect screened-in porch, a fun family room with TV and tons of toys for the kids, and an awesome pool with a slide and a hot tub. The kids especially loved their "secret hideout" at the den above the garage. The kids loved every minute of it. The parent really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen completely equipped with all our kosher and cooking needs. Everyone had a fantastic time and are already planning this year's Mother's Day getaway at the Kosher Cove. :)
We have been to several cabins, but Kosher Cove stands out in our minds. It is wonderful to have the option of swimming in the pool or enjoying kayaking in the lake. It is quiet and beautiful there. We used the fire pit to roast marshmallows after a day full of activities. The children enjoyed the X-box, while the adults enjoyed the porch and the view. The beds are comfortable and the drive from Atlanta was quick and easy. Not having to worry about Kashrut was a pleasure!
Can't wait to return!
I will remember Kosher Cove as one of the best vacations we took as a family. The house was in immaculate condition and there were directions neatly and strategically placed around the house, making it feel even more like a home. With all the details already taken care of, all we had to do was decide whether we were kayaking in the lake or swimming in the pool that morning. Can't wait to go there again!
Our family stayed at Kosher Cover for a weekend this past September. We have vacationed in the past at different vacation rental homes and they have always been ok. So we were prepared for another "ok" experience. From the minute we arrived at Kosher Cove we knew we were in a different league. The place was gorgeous and had every amenity we could think of! Our kids had a blast every minute that we were there. From canoeing and swimming to bonfire with s'mores, they were entertained from sun up to sun down. Being that we keep strict kosher, we have always had to shlep stuff with us when we traveled. Other than bring perishable items with us, Kosher Cove provided everything a kosher gourmet cook could ask for. We would highly recommend Kosher Cove to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing, fun weekend away.
Best time at Kosher Cove!
I had the best time at Kosher Cove. I've never stayed in a cabin before and now I can't wait to go back. Everything was amazing!!! I loved everything... mattresses, covers, pillows, the loaded kitchen ( not lugging all that with me/us was so nice)... The showers.... and that beautiful, relaxing scenery.
I have stayed at the Kosher Cove a handful of times and fall in love with it more and more each visit. The area is beautiful and has plenty of fun stuff for both adults and kids, the house is perfect (especially for Shabbos), and best of all, it is an easy trip from Atlanta. The location is very central & I have taken day trips to parts of Tennessee, the Carolinas, and of course the entire North Georgia area. I would recommend the Kosher cove if you are looking for a private getaway or if you are bringing the kids along. I love it so much, I am looking into getting one of my own :)
